Happy 8 Months

Soon to be the next "Scooter"

Grace just learned to scoot a couple of days ago. I love how she rocks back and forth then lunges forwards. She's gotten even better since I took this video. She can do it all the way across the blanket. I think she will have it down in no time.

The day I took this picture, Grace was being so silly. They all turned out like this so I decided to retake them.

This was the next day, and she was a little bit calmer. (I actually think I like the wild one better) Which one do you like better? It's for her growth picture frame that has all her pictures at each month. Let me know what you think.

Congratulations Ben

Two weeks ago Ben had his "White Coat Ceremony". It was a nice first step into the medical profession. This is his "practice" coat he will be using during his schooling. The official doctor coats are white and long. It was a great start to a wonderful journey that is ahead of us. We are so proud of him and all the hard work he is doing to accomplish his dream. Good luck Dr. Martino!

Blocks

I've discovered that I have a lot more time on my hands with a baby that takes good naps and a husband who studies all day and night. So, I've been trying to keep myself busy by doing different projects. This is the latest that I just completed. So far Grace loves them. My thought was when she played with her blocks she would not only be learning her alphabet, but also all the faces of her family since we don't get to see them very often. (Once there are more cousins, and Steven gets married, I will make her a set of number blocks with the additional family on it.)

Matching

Growing up I loved having older sisters who helped with my hair and painted my nails. I always thought it would be fun to have a younger sister that I could do this to. Now that I have Grace I get to do all of this fun stuff with her.

These are just a few pictures of our house. We love it so much! It's crazy to think that all of this stuff fit into our old apt. that was half this size. We hope you all will come visit us really soon!

A Time of Firsts

Grace took her first swim in a pool on Monday. She wasn't quite sure what to think, but does have down kicking her feet. She was sure stylish with her swimsuit, glasses, and hat.












She also had her first taste of rice cereal which she really loves! Her formula just hasn't been lasting long enough so we thought we would give the cereal a try. She's been doing great with it. It is cute to see her with a spoon in her mouth and watch her figure out how to swallow. She's getting so big!

Yard Sale

To get ready for the big move this week we had our first ever yard sale on Saturday. It was a smashing success and just about everything was bought (all by Hispanics). It was nice for me to brush up on my Espanol. We made $200 and celebrated by enjoying our last meal at Cafe Rio. We plan to use the money to buy some new chairs for our kitchen table (replacing the beautiful blue ones in the pic) and other things we need for the house.

Family Pictures

Last Saturday we decided to take family pictures. We had a coupon at JCPenny so it was a really good deal. However, Gracie felt just like her Daddy about the whole picture thing... she was not liking it. The pictures did turn out pretty cute though. These are the ones we decided on.

We met up today with Katie Anderson and little Elizabeth. It was such a pretty day and so we enjoyed a brief walk and a picnic lunch. It was Gracie's and Elizabeth's first play date. I think Katie and I probably enjoyed it more at this moment then the little girls.

We took Grace to the duck pond at BYU. She was so interested in the ducks and just stared at them.

A day at the Zoo

Gracie had her first trip to the Zoo. It was so much fun. We went the Saturday before Mother's Day and all the Mom's got a free back massage. It was really nice.
